If I were to do it all over again, mine would have incorporated the Eiffel Tower as that is where we got engaged and also bright cheery pops of color. :) We got married in late summer/early fall so our red/white/black and silver made sense but oh, how I love color and chevron is my new favorite pattern. Some GREAT advice Carol! Re: experience, ask how many years of experience doing WEDDINGS they have - very important, you don't want a 20 year "gentleman's club" veteran doing his 3rd wedding at your event.

Everything you and your DJ discuss, and what is said to be included, should be on the contract - make sure it's all in writing to avoid any surprises later on.

I m with you on this one. I think that nice, old fashioned way is the best. You get the invite in the mail and send it back with your response. Not only is it more personal and makes you feel more considered but it also allows you to have another memory token for that day of your family/friend. The e - vite should be out!! Guess I m ol' skool!!

The fingertip length is pretty, I also sometimes like the cathedral length, they can be elegant with a form fitting and more simplistic dress.

Mine was more typical I guess, it was the elbow-length. I love the look of the birdcage style with vintage dresses!

I love milk glass, I have a couple vases and they are perfect with some bright flowers, I use them in our bathrooms. I got both at Goodwill, each for less than $1. I could totally envision a beautiful spring or summer wedding, maybe a more casual outdoor countryside wedding and a long table filled with milk glass vases and pastel color blooms that create a line all the way down the table. So fun!

Hi Karla! I've seen that as well with some wearing "questionable" wardrobe choices to weddings. It's never nice to try and "show up the bride" on her wedding day, and I've seen some attempts, that sadly in the end, only make the person dressing that way, look ridiculous.

The very same happened to me Carol, but with my wedding band. It had seven diamonds across it and the centre one fell out. Same thing, not on our insurance, no guarantee from the jeweller.

I now have a gorgeous set (given to me for our 10th Anniversary), but I'd still like to be able to wear my originals.
