Tech meets tradition: Camcorders

Want video footage of the big day, but don't have the budget for a videographer?
Solution: A video booth

You can set up a video booth at your reception, much like the photo booths you find at malls.

Tips:
  • Be sure hook the camcorder up to a power supply (outlet) so that you don't have to worry about the camcorder running out of battery
  • Have an extra memory card on hand so that you don't run out of memory (If you don't already have an upload station set up. See yesterdays post for info.)
  • Place the booth in a well lit area. The last thing you want is to guess who is talking.
  • Provide seating so that the camera height does not have to adjusted.
  •  Make sure there is more light infront of the subject than behind them. ( do not place your booth backing a bright window. This will give you a silhouette effect, you won't be able to see their faces.)
  • Provide a back drop if you wish.
Have fun with it.
Make it your own.
Its your day!
