The topic of weddings came up one night while talking to my mom. She mentioned that she would like me to wear her wedding dress on my big day. While flattered at the offer, the dress was not my style nor would it fit me. So the question is:
How do you incorporate family traditions into your wedding while keeping it fresh and still a reflection of you as a couple?
One fun way to do this is by taking photographs of your parents' or even grandparents' wedding and recreating the shot with you and your other half. You can even try using similar clothing or use the same locations and objects if possible! You can use these pictures as engagement photos or even surprise your parents at the reception during a slide show or have large prints made and framed at the reception entrance. You can later choose to give these photos to your parents as gifts.
