While we all celebrate the Holiday in our own ways, I thought I would share with you some pictures into my own weekend.
As with most holidays-I delight in sharing it with my family-my main goal is to always make it memorable for them, and especially the children in my family.
As a child, I loved the magical feeling of make believe, and enjoyed the decorations, and merriment of it all. I think I was the only weird child out of the bunch who paid attention to the details-not just the candy.
I loved the fancy dishes my grandmother and mother would set out, or how they always made sure the table cloth was ironed just so.
I want to recreate that feeling every time I set my own table for a wonderful meal we are sharing. This weekend-I did just that.
I always look at it, as though I am setting the stage for the main attraction-the food. (My husband the Chef appreciates this too ;)
As an added touch of fun and whimsy for everyone, I designed a candy buffet so all of our guests (and mini guests) could fill their own basket. I hope you all had a blessed Easter-and you celebrated it with your most cherished loved ones too!
