5 Great Veil Styles for your Day!

Matching a veil to your dress can be one of those things-that quite frankly-can give you a bit of a headache! Especially if you have no idea what styles are all about!

So I thought I'd break it down a bit for you to give you a better idea on choosing one to go with your dress!
1-Shoulder length Veil-this veil just sweeps at shoulder level, and looks very elegant when paired with a dress that has a lot of detail at the back and usually come no longer than about 18-20" in length-these are wonderful for a summer wedding (I had one myself and had amethyst Swarovski crystals hand-stiched on it to match my dress)
2-Elbow length Veil-Just meets to your elbow line, and creates a beautiful view from the back. This is also a great style to wear if you have a lot of details on the back of your dress that you don't want to cover, but nice if you want your shoulders and back a bit covered.
3-Finger tip length- this length goes down just past your hips, and creates a very elegant and flowing effect. If your dress is less elaborate in the back-you may want to consider one of these. This style also looks fabulous on brides who wear their hair down.
4-Cathedral length-this veil sweeps the floor much like a train on a dress. It is a great (and very light weight) alternative if you would like the look of a train but don't want the hassle of one.
5-Birdcage-This is just a sweeping mesh over the eyes-great for brides with shorter hair or even for those who want a stylish flair without the hassle of a full out veil. Thanks to Carrie Bradshaw (Sex and the City) we have seen quite a few of these in more recent years!
Thanks so much for reading-I hope this helped!
Much Planning bliss!

The fingertip length is pretty, I also sometimes like the cathedral length, they can be elegant with a form fitting and more simplistic dress.

Mine was more typical I guess, it was the elbow-length. I love the look of the birdcage style with vintage dresses!
