What's in Style: Your Love Story

While today is Valentine's day, and millions will be celebrating, and running out to purchase a dozen long-stemmed roses, chocolates or other novelties, I thought it would be a good time to share with you what I think is important on Valentine's Day: Your own individual Love Story.
This morning I was up extra early, so I decided to flip around for a sitcom or something to watch to pass the time until the rest of the family got up (instead of the dreadful morning news). I came across TLC and there was a show on called Amazing Love Stories.
These stories were real stories of real people who had overcome obstacles, or life's twists and turns, who finally were brought together. It was riveting.

Last year, I wrote about one of my favourite Valentine's that my husband and I shared (you can read the original post here).
Valentine's to me, means more than just "showing" each other you care. It sort of forces you to actually take the time to celebrate your relationship milestones, and remember your love story all over again, and the reason you both fell in love in the first place.
I'm always intrigued on how couples meet, or how fate brought them together, or a turn of events that brought them together-isn't that the stuff that makes a good romance novel?
While all stories aren't quite as dramatic as a Harlequin, one thing that never seems to go out of style, no matter how many times you share it-is your own love story.
I encourage you today, while having your romantic dinner, to remember back when you first fell in love, and gazed into each other's eyes. The first time you held hands, kissed, your very first Valentine's, or even the first movie you saw together. Whatever it is, it's your own, and it can bring on such a renewed feeling of love, all over again.

Happy Valentine's Day!
