Mr. & Mrs. Smith June 5, 2010

As promised, here is my write up on this past weekend's wedding-it was truly amazing! Here are some of my own pictures from the day that I'd like to share with you!
It took place at the Old Mill nestled in the quaint little town of Ancaster surrounded by Mother nature and a gorgeous waterfall.

The morning started off as cloudy and all week long the weather reports had been calling for rain. When I first arrived at the Ancaster Old Mill at 9:30 in the morning, I was praying that the clouds would pass and the sun would shine through-hour by hour it improved, by noon-the weather was gorgeous. By the time the Bride arrived, there was not a cloud overhead!

just before heading down to the ceremony location}

The Bride arrived looking stunning in her white gown and the bright bouquet of pink and green was the perfect compliment to the pistachio green that the Bridesmaids wore.
The ceremony decor was stunning against the white chairs and natural greenery-bright pink bouquets of peonies tied to shepard hooks, and pink rose petals scattered over the white aisle runner, led the way to a beautiful white arch.
{A beautiful outdoor ceremony}

The Reception was absolutely divine as well, the tables were surrounded by gold chiavari chairs with organza sashes. Tall centerpieces were placed in the middle with an eye-popping cluster of giant pink lillies on the top of each vase. A unique addition to each table was a Family Tree-a great conversaton piece, as the guests could see how everyone was related to the Bride and Groom.
{Just lovely}
{I just loved the airy feel to the centerpieces-a perfect compliment to the room}

The Cake was a masterpiece all on its own-it was a beautiful pistachio coloured four-tiered cake with gorgeous detail on each layer. It was accented by satin ribbon and pretty lillies.
{This cake was a beauty-and so delicious!}
{Gorgeous detail}

 The guests were listed on a beautiful seating chart that had tables listed as the couples' favourite places. On each table was a write up as to why that particular spot was special to them, whether it was the name of the street they live on, or places they visited while in Europe-it was a great way to personalize the seating!

Of course, I simply could not have done this myself, my assistant Shalyn was more than amazing that day, the Bride and Groom really appreciated everything she did, and I simply could not thank her enough!

The food was great, the service was consistent, the speeches were emotional, and the dance floor was always full-all make for one perfect party! It was everything they had wanted for a wedding-which means my job as a planner was done!
It was my absolute pleasure to assist Sarah-Jane and Mathew with their wedding.

You just took me down memory lane since we were married nearly 4 yrs ago at the Old Mill. :) I would have loved that weather forecast though, mine was gloomy and overcast all day.

Great shot of the waterfall! I like that the bride chose to wear a fun hue of shoes. If I had to do it all over again I would have done cobalt blue peeptoe shoes with a rhinestone buckle as my something blue.

Have a great week,
Karla
